IN CHARACTER

HISTORY. -Wei Wuxian's parents died when he was very young so Jiang Fengmian brought him back to the Jiang sect where he raised him alongside his biological children, Cheng and Yanli.
-When they became teenagers, Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng were sent to study with the Gusu Lan Sect's famous teacher, Lan Qiren and then after that the Qishan Wen Sect summoned junior deciples from all of the major sects to attend their training. Wen Chao was the primary overseer of the training camp and forced all the guest cultivators into a cave to fight an ancient beast. Wei Wuxian, and Lan Wangji were trapped in the cave alone and decided to kill the Tortoise of Slaughter together. They were rescued after spending one week in the cave.
-Shortly after his return, The Wen Clan attacked Lotus Pier and the entire sect was massacred. Jiang Cheng's Golden Core was melted by Wen Zhuliu so Wei Wuxian begged Wen Qing to secretly give his brother his golden core.
-After removing his core Wei Wuxian was caught by Wen Chao who threw him into the Yiling Burial Mounds. For the next three months, Wei Wuxian took to harnessing resentful energy for power to be used without a golden core. Once free of the Burial Mounds, he sought out those that destroyed Lotus Pier. Wei Wuxian followed them for four days, killing all of the members of the Wen Sect he found.
-He joined the Sunshot Campaign which was a fight to destroy the Wen sect. Thanks in large part to Wei Wuxian they were successful. The leader of the Jin clan had all the remaining Wen sect either killed or imprisoned. Wen Qing sought out Wei Wuxian and begged his help in finding her brother. They found the enslaved members of the Qishan Wen Sect and Wei Wuxian then awoke Wen Ning, who had died. Wei Wuxian allowed him to take his revenge on the guards who had killed them, before taking the prisoners to the Yiling Burial Mounds to live under his protection.
-They lived in the Burial Mounds until Wei Wuxian was invited to the one month celebration of his sister's son. While walked along Qiongqi Path 300 cultivators showed up to ambush him, led by Zixun. Wen Ning attacked the cultivators while he faced off against Zixun. Jin Zixuan (his sisters husband) suddenly arrived but Wei Wuxian lost control of his anger and as a result, Wen Ning put his fist through Jin Zixuan's heart. Wen Ning also killed Zixun before returning Wei Wuxian to the Burial Mounds.
-Wen Qing paralyzed Wei Wuxian for three days so that her and her brother could turn themselves in. Once free, Wei Wuxian rushed to Nightless City. He fought a bitter battle with all the sects and his sister was killed in the chaos. After her death Lan Wangji took him away and hid him. Jiang Cheng led the First Siege of the Burial Mounds that resulted in the slaughter of the Qishan Wen Sect remnants and Wei Wuxian's death from spiritual backlash.
-Thirteen years after his death, Mo Xuanyu sacrificed his soul by use of the Sacrificial Ritual and summoned Wei Wuxian back. Throughout the night, members of the Mo family were killed off by a vengeful arm which was captured by the Lan sect who were trying to help the family.
-Once the family was dead, Wei Wuxian started to travel. He encountered a group trying to fight a Goddess Statue and within these cultivators was Jin Ling, Wei Wuxian's nephew. He quickly made a bamboo flute and attempted to summon a powerful demonic creature to help. To his astonishment, that creature was Wen Ning who defeated the Goddess Statue. Lan Wangji suddenly declared his intent to take "Mo Xuanyu" back to the Cloud Recesses with him.
-At this point the two start to travel together to try and find the body and origin of the possessed arm that killed the Mo family. During this adventure Wei Wuxian learns that Lan Wangji always knew he wasn't actually Mo Xuanyu. Together they piece together a complicated story of deception and murder that leads them back to corruption at the Jin sect. It is towards the ends of these travels that I would be bringing Wei Wuxian into the game.

PERSONALITY. Wei Wuxian is energetic and mischievous and even after dying and being reinstated those traits stayed true. He is often seen drinking or flirting with whomever he could. In the beginning this is mostly women but as the series goes on his flirting went on to include Lan Wangji, whom he eventually gained feelings for. Because of his antics, many assumed he was a playboy and has kissed many girls. But in truth at the time he was just a teen that liked to play around and never actually kissed anyone.

Many times he would break rules just because he could, despite knowing he would be punished severely for them. On his first night at Cloud Recesses he broke several rules including bringing alcohol into the sect, coming in after curfew and fighting. There were numerous occasions where these particular rules were difficult for him to keep in tact.

But despite being very carefree, Wei Wuxian has a very strong heart. Wei Wuxian cares deeply for those he loves and will do anything to protect them. His selflessness is so strong and true that he even gave up his own Golden Core and had it transplanted into his sworn brother Jiang Cheng after Jiang Cheng's own core had been melted. During the transplant, Wei Wuxian endured the entire operation awake and without pain medication for two nights and one day. He never told his brother what he did and lived with that secret for a long time. Living without a Golden Core meant he could no longer follow the path of the cultivator without using the dark arts and despite that he still went through with it because he knew how much it would crush Jiang Cheng to be a normal human.

Intelligent and inventive, Wei Wuxian openly inquired to Lan Qiren whether there was a way to utilize resentful energy instead of suppressing it. Once he found himself thrown into the Burial Mounds without his golden core, he invented Demonic Cultivation and within three months was capable of massacring an entire supervisory office by just using music and the spirits in the area.

Wei Wuxian had a strong sense of justice and a desire to protect the innocent no matter who they are or what they had done in the past. As a result of his sense of justice, however, he was at times capable of ruthlessness: torturing Wen Chao to death for his role in the massacre of Lotus Pier, using Demonic Cultivation to have members of the Qishan Wen Sect killed by the corpses of their own families and friends, and, eventually, using the Stygian Tiger Seal to battle three thousand cultivators.

Nevertheless, Wei Wuxian is more than capable of expressing regret and admitting his faults and often feels guilty about his actions and how they have affected others. Bcause of how he sees the world his beliefs and how he conducts himself is often against everyone else, he finds himself always ending up as the villain in their eyes and everyone takes out what is wrong or bad with the world and blame it on him. And he accepts that and lets people cast him as the bad guy even though most of the stories and rumors they have created are lies or exaggerations over the truth.

ABILITIES

STRENGTHS.
Intelligence/Observations: Wei Wuxian is highly intelligent and can figure out answers to a problem just by observing the situation. He's often managed to figure out more in a five minute span than most people can after looking at something for weeks.
Archery
Paper Metamorphosis: dangerous dark arts technique that allows him to affix his soul to a piece of paper and it can travel around with his consciousness while his body remains empty and immobile.
Empathy: The mastery of this ability allows Wei Wuxian to view the memories someone by entering their mind and seeing what they saw through their eyes
Hearing: because of his use of Demonic Cultivation, Wei Wuxian possesses a unique ability to hear nearby spirits. He can become overwhelmed by just how loud a place can be when there are many spirits in one spot.
Musical Abilities: He is very good at playing the flute, which he uses to his advantage when he uses Chengqing to summon the dead.
Demonic Cultivation: Wei Wuxian is the founder of this particular branch of cultivation. In contrast to traditional cultivation that relied on purging or suppressing resentful energy, Demonic Cultivation utilized resentful energy to aid the user.
Spirit-Attraction: Can be used as a flag or drawn on any surface including oneself and is capable of attracting any creature holding resentful energy within a certain radius.
Wide range of spells and talismans: Wei Wuxian utilized a wide variety of spells and talismans. For instance, he demonstrated a spell to create small butterflies made of light, the ability to freeze people with and without a talisman, and used another talisman to scour areas for spiritual abnormalities. Other talismans and spells landed spiritual attacks on powerful night-hunt prey, such as the Goddess Statue. Additionally, he demonstrated the ability to begin a fire from his own blood during his fight against the Tortoise of Slaughter.

WEAKNESSES. Wei Wuxian's weakness is his emotions. He cares too deeply and that often gets him hurt. He is often very self sacrificing and will give up himself to protect the people he cares about. He doesn't see getting hurt to be important as long as the ones he loves are protected. This means that in canon he has found himself to be hurt on many occasions. Not to mention he has very little care for rules or decorum which often gets him in trouble. Many times he questions authority just because he wants to, or will break a rule just out of boredom. These emotions are often his downfall which is why they are his greatest weakness. Physical weakness is he is just a normal human and his body is weak and made more so by the use of the demonic cultivation that often infects the mind and the heart. Also dogs...he is deeply terrified of dogs. This is from a childhood experience where he would have to fight with dogs for food because he was alone on the streets. And so he became very afraid of dogs and always hides when he sees or hears one.

WEAPONS. His weapon is a flute he uses to control spirits and corpses with. So basically on this world it is just a regular flute since he doesn't have his abilities.
